Largest Operational Agricultural Plow - Manitoba Agricultural Museum sets world record
AUSTIN, Manitoba, Canada - Volunteers at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum have set world records by assembling and using a 66-bottom (77-foot-wide) agricultural plow. Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion and Stampede - Sets new world record for Largest Operational Agricultural Plow.
Made by OilPull tractors. The incident initially required 4 E Rumely OilPulls to plow, but earlier in the week rain had disrupted farming conditions and a fifth tractor was needed. As a result, a single 535 HP New Holland 4-wheel drive tractor with an ATI crawler pulled the plow to see if modern agriculture could compete with age-old technology. People came across North America, Europe, and Australia to witness this," said Elliot Sims, co-chairman of Rumely Expo, "an event of a lifetime," said, "and we can be proud that the Manitoba Agricultural Museum holds both world-class records." Its president, Chad Bodnarchuk, describes the achievement as incredible and humbly thanks to the nearly 700 volunteers who made it happen.
