Comments: - - Such sharp bends in rebar, when used in concrete, are not allowed by building code because the sharp bend will brake under load in concrete and will not yield maximum loading of the rebar before failing. Rebar is required to be bent around a round mandrel whose diameter is related to the bar diameter and it's use, i.e. standard hooks, stirrup and tie hooks. See American Concrete Institute charts, etc.
Nice ! A simple thought on the same idea, In a shop I was in for yrs. we had holes in the metal worktables and kept various Ball joints from trucks around ,could just use two ide by side & bend thinner pipe, rod or flat steel by hand, a lay up table(platform) by a wall with lg beam had a winch attached the same height as the table and could attach the hook or attach with a short chain and ring ,place steel in between the balls and heat if needed and winch slowly until it got the right angle! those were also very "handy" as fast vise when doing grinding, finishing before painting. work safe thanks Peace Rick
Er.ABJIT happy new year 2022, thank you very much for uploading these videos, a small observation welding is not polished, because its molecular structure is changed, it weakens and can crack, congratulations and blessings to all thanks for uploading these videos from Colombia amen bye
you can bend it simply by putting a wire of this thickness into the loop from the garage lock, such a plate with a hammer, or in a vice, with your hands on the workbench on the edge. How disgusting it is to watch these grief inventors ...
Your creations are nice and creative, but the way you handle welding is very wrong. welding experts certainly see a lot of mistakes. you have talent to be enhanced
