My dad used to use his cross bar tires on our 4620 to pull a fertilizer spreader back and forth to our fields and had tons of blacktop miles on them. They were about wore out and the lugs looked like you sharpened them with a grinder. That thing was hard to beat in the 13,000 and 15,000 dyno classes back in the day and we are in Indiana so you know the competition was tough.
The effortless torque off the line of the 585 in that Oliver 2155 was really impressive. No more strain than a Sunday drive on a country lane...
Boring? Who said boring? Heck it's nice to see a real tractor now and then pull. Pretty sure some of these could still go back to the field if needed. We have a * Farm Stock * class in my area. Tractors are loping and have huge P pump injection pumps on them. Regular farm stock tractor will pull about half track against them . It's like most other things, if you spend the most you'll win. To me this is far from boring. This is pulling. All that other is just a weight controlled drag race.
I been watching tractor/truck pulls even horse pulling. I’ve never heard any having a speed limit. And I grew up going to The Buck 35 years ago.
FINALLY a pretty cool video that the uploader didn't edit in their STUPID music and cut out the original sounds of the machines... Thanks, you got my thumbs up!
