For those wondering if he did it on purpose to entertain or by mistake: The actual pilot responds to a question referring to this low-pass....(in Turkish and also has the HUD footage ;) ).
He basically says that the runway had no overrun section (you do your own research about what that is).
He also says that the Soloturk team had asked the organizers about that and asked what their precautions were about it.
The organizers assured them that the area in place of the overrun would be kept closed and free of people.
He then says he only executed the Turkish Air Force procedure for landing on runways without overrun which is to aim for the threshold as if to touch down there.
That kinda approach results in this footage. He says that he, by no means, was trying to look cool
