COMMENTS: - - Video of a John Deere 8320RT tractor pulling a Deere DB60 36 row planter near Ansonia Ohio. Also in this video, a Deere XUV865M Gator is equipped with the 360 Yield Center Sprint system that allows them to fill the planter with fertilizer on the go.
I live in the area and have never seen anything like this before but then again I'm busy with our own farm and don't have time to walk around and see what others are doing nice video and keep up the good work
The question I would ask is how much do they pay the guy who keeps the planter full, or what job does he sacrifice to chase the planter? If it's going to be waiting in the truck anyway, then it's a good idea, but if that means you have to stop a different job or hire someone else, the cost goes up quickly. The mechanism is a one-time cost that can get very expensive, but you add another monthly/yearly fee plus benefits yikes!
Nice video. You are dragging your transport safety chain. I'd love to watch you do it with a gokart in South Georgia, with our irrigation tracks and washes. Also, enjoy cultivating Ice Cream dirt. Our red soil turns like concrete in winter. At least it must have been torn from under the desk.
That Mr. Greg Sauder is a real salesman. Great concept' but the cost offsets the loss from compression. I'm sure he's done experiments that demonstrate this. Do not base your agricultural operation plans on October 2019.
I would say it's a waste of most planting seasons but this year with the weather? If this allows them to plant another 50 acres a day, it could be the difference between buying them all before the fuse cuts, switching to beans or planting preventative
