The straw is out of the field, the grass has been plowed, now it's time to throw it down and get the soybeans in the ground to start growing. Pulling the White 271 disc, the Detroit Diesel powered Oliver 1950 (Herman) and the White 2-155 pull the 30-foot Great Plains drill.
COMMENTS : This is a good old tractor. Takes me back to the days of open stations, dirt and the smell of diesel fuel and freshly farmed land!
There's nothing like diesel fuel, freshly turned earth, a roll of butter, and 10:00 a.m. coffee. and my mom had me keep my diesel-coated boots in the garage.
I love hearing Herman running and I imagine compression is minimal with terra tires. This Field Boss is definitely similar to my neighbor's, but I guess his HP was lower. While working in that field, I used many hours on the left fender [inside the cabin :)]. Great video Chris. Take care and stay safe. Cheers
I love watching your old Oliver at work, great job and keep doing what you are doing sir. The only downside to running Herman is that you can hear Detroit for hours after turning it off at night.
