Sorry about what happened Farm Girl. My Grandfather farmed till he was 81 so he farmed well over 70 years and I remember countless times when things like this would happen at the worst time but never in all the bad times did he ever complain or get mad. He always told me if Farming was easy anyone could do it so to complain does not get the baler fixed. I also remember quite well that in all those years he never rode around the hay field in an air conditioned tractor with the stereo on. He broke many bones over the years and got knocked out by a BULL (HIS LAST BULL) cause he made the mistake of turning his back at the wrong moment. He never once blamed the Bull for doing what came naturally to him. He would simply say it's something you learn from. I give you and Eric praise for doing an almost thankless job that is full of the unexpected everyday. I think it helped that he was a very religious man. So remember that bad things on a farm never stop and If it was easy anyone could do it.
I am so proud of you! The way you handle everything from cats and worms in noses, raccoons killing pigeons, to busted equipment. I must say that you have become a role model for me as a starting farmer. Keep it up. i hope that thumb is gonna be okay, that cut looked deep... get well soon! ( And i'm happy you like the new Holland... )
