In this film I show you how to make a very useful and effective spoon bowl hollowing knife, that can also be used for rounding off the bottom of pole lathed wooden bowls and plates.

I have used an old car spring as the source of good tool steel for this project,

and in the film I take you through the blacksmithing techniques, and the tool hardening and tempering using a gas torch.
