I was at college in Farnborough when they were testing the Concorde. We were able to visit the test chamber and see what was happening. Concorde was subject to temperature and pressure variations far greater than normal commercial airliners so required special tests.
It is my first time that I visit this site and in particular this video is really surprising for the level of detail with respect to structural tests. Congratulations !!
Airframe is a novel by the American writer Michael Crichton, his eleventh under his own name and twenty-first overall, first published in 1996. A very good book about the airline industry.
Correction the L39NG is 12m long and 9m wide not feet sorry as mentioned just before the 7min mark. Love this video though great info!
Hopefully he meant meters. 12 foot by 9 foot is stupid and whoever let that slide should be caned
