Removal of a huge Mountain Ash in the Alfred Nicholas Gardens.
The tree stood over a spectacular rock water feature and entry area to the Gardens which is managed by Parks Victoria.
When the tree died and began shedding its dead limbs, the risk to the public was deemed unacceptable and the tree was scheduled to be removed.
The owners of the Burnham Beeches kindly allowed us to access the tree from their property. The job would've been very different without this.
It would have been more real hearing the saws and the crashing of those big logs hitting the ground, than listening to annoying music. I muted my phone while watching this video.
Sir you are perfection when it comes to heavy rigging and tree work. It is an inspiration to watch you and so informative to a newer climber. Please make more videos so we can possibly learn and gain confidence by watching the most impressive removals on film.
