Try this with "REAL WOOD" (that is not green) and watch the machine stop moving... This is more like a vegtable chipper. You need a stronger motor if you want to use it for WOOD. Also a cover over the blades to protect your face. Otherwise GOOD!
what do you do with the cut up stuff? its very unevenly cut with long bits and short bits. it wouldn't be good for mulch which is the general purpose of chippers. a chain tensioner would be a good idea.
the drop saw would have made cutting the tube simpler. a better idea would be to turn it 90 degrees an make a chute to feed the green wood in from the top and collect the cut stuff into a bucket below. limited use as dry material could stall the motor or break things, also not everyone has access to that nice clean steel. sorry if i seem to be pulling it down, i'm just pointing out some problem areas before others trying to make one get into trouble
Once again, it is very well made, but that device that seems to be made to cut firewood is worthless, because what looks like firewood is not, those are branches of a bush that, as it is green, and 70% of the volume is water, it seems that cuts everything and it is not like that, the blades must be thicker and of course with 350w that that drill will have we are not going anywhere.
