As part of a development project, we modified a Fendt KATANA for the hemp harvest in our company. The connection of the cutting unit via the back of the chopper is height adjustable up to approx. 3.5 m. You can see the result in the video.
System components:
- Fendt KATANA 65
- Kemper 460plus (maize header)
- MacDon D120 (universal header)
Com: Emilio: Here are a few questions that arise to me:
1. Why first in the teleloader and then in the trailer, finally you can adjust the loading height by extending the conveyor belt.
2. Why are the fibers scattered back on the field when you can use them as great feed / bedding or in the textile industry. Hemp doesn't need the fertilizer.
3. What crop rotations do you use?
4. Isn't that unprofitable when using such expensive harvesting technology?
