Com: Donald: What this doesn't have in its forging is the traditional Japanese master sword maker's repeated foldings & beatings that take a far longer time & more intensive work to give the many fine layers of steel a resilience & flexibility unequalled in the world!
Com: Alex: Fine but not perfect, you must keep technology, I Don't found real katana technologies, it is just suvenier! Like suvenier this is good sword!
Com: Dragon: that is not a katana, which is longer and has narrower blade.
Your's looks more like a machette. And of course, because it is shorter than the length of a proper katana sword,
it can only be a wakisashi. never the less, very good project.
Com: Nichole: Dam I wish I had an actual belt sander and lathe I'm envious of your equipment brother lol I think you did a great job, despite the naysayers on the comments ,
my only recommendation is use a diamond blade sharpener on the edge and then a Arkansas stone to hone it completely and it'd be a razor sharp blade, that's what I do with my blades for the final edge but great job!
I'm going to try this I was just given two coil springs from my father in law and I wasn't sure if what to try to forge, this definitely got the wheels turning
