Think these flew over us this morning over the YHA next to the slate mine.. we were inside and thought the world was ending because of how loud it was! Then went outside and saw them.. absolutely amazing
Great to see the USAF F35 through the lakes for the first time, assume you were located above Glenridding.
Was on Grey Knotts near Honister slate mine…they came over Buttermere and straight up Honister Pass and over the top of us…awesome sight!
That new black look paint job is the only thing that makes that flying tube look good. It still isn't as good as the f22 (no matter how hard they try to make it that way) it was never intended to be better then the f22 or be this multi role fighter, but of course the airforce and marine cram all this crap it doesn't need in it and make it worthless in a fight, it got so bad that lockheed martin said the f35 was the biggest failer they ever built and shouldn't have ever made them.
Yeah great.............frighten the life out of the wildlife not to mention us residents. Why the Lake District and always on a nice clear day? As I've always said and, sadly, is now becoming apparent any future war will be fought on NATO's northern flanks. Cold, low visibility etc, why practice here? Why not in the Scottish highlands in winter out of earshot?
