Crushing bottle jack and blast shield with hydraulic press
Why do they heat up when they are crushed?
Homamade Machines: Technically, everything they crush heats up. Whenever you apply energy to something some of that energy becomes heat. The steel tubes resist crushing a lot more, so more of the crushing force becomes heat.
Equipments:When a metal piece is forcefully reshaped, some energy is needed. That energy transforms to heat energy because of internal friction of the metal. In other words, metal atoms are forced to resettle when shape of metal piece changes. Resettling makes atoms to vibrate. That vibration is heat energy.
