Homemade machines are incredibly dangerous. There is no safety mechanism to protect the operator.
Some look like neat useful wood. Other things are chipped when there will be good firewood
It’s always the footing of the operators that make me nervous in these videos, a lot of them look like they can easily slip on debris or lose balance by stooping too long.
I'm wondering how long some of these weird wood cutters have been in use considering it's only going to take once to not feed them any more wood.
Looks like these machines process mostly very soft wood. It whardould be interesting to see how they work in hard maple, elm and oak.
