The Fairbanks Morse Trainmasters, with their opposed piston engines, were another fine FM product. They used the same engine and generator combination that the US Navy submarines used.
This is so cool, I live about 3 miles away from the Fairbanks Morse factory, located on Park Avenue in Beloit Wisconsin
I am disappointed ! Except for that last one I did not hear or see anyone of the others starting up ! They were already running when the clip begun !
I had a Fairbanks Morse NEC in the USN. None of the ones I ran there sounded as beautiful as those. Ron
Liked the cool rhythm of two and four cylinder types. Soothing.
That was a fine selection of engines. I liked them all! Thanks for posting.
Quite the balancing act! How they balanced those rotating assemblies is truly impressive.
