No. 1 Scania Tajfun (which simply reads as typhoon, what it also means) is a vehicle commonly used by Polish Police Departament.

There are few generations of these water cannons: firsts developed ca. 2010, the most common in Poland mark 3 from 2016 and this one is from the end of 2019 marked as Tajfun 4. Before Tajfuns, Polish PD was using a sign of communism, Jelcz Hydromil, but since 2015 PD has been modernised to European bests standards.

Today, Police Departament is one of the best equipped uniformed formations but officers' training is still on medium level (to be fair, there are many officers who want to have better skills, so they participate in many courses for their own).

The 3rd gen of the Scania Tajfun is equipped in wide range of breaching, fire-fighting and tactical tools, what allows to use this vehicles to many purposes, even to emergency fire-fighting.

I see this machine as a one of the bests Polish vehicles, but still with some cons, ie they are weak armored, have too much points for the attackers, the range of upside cannons is limited especially on short distance (the problem is eliminated in the 4rd gen but there are only 2 cannons, against 3 in earlier gens) ,

leak of observation/recording devices and too small water canister in accordnance to cannons power, small frontside attack plate with no downside extinguishing system. I hope the 2 companies from Bielsko-Biała which have property rights for this project will be able to upgrade Tajfuns and maybe ad a fence on the backside and as a military, I would like to see there a V - shaped chassis. Then it really be a no 1 in Europe.
