The ice Breaker ships are so,so interesting Important ships for opening ice CLOSED shipping route's. I would Love to go on one as Passager. I hope the US is using technology advice from Russia & China on new builds for the US CG on building the replacement for the 2 Poler class ice breakers we are looking to replace. Make them less of a ruff ride in open ocean high sea states. I Love it that Russian ice vessel are allowing Passager, anyone who can PAY the amount to go see these ice unclosed Lands in the far North or South areas of the world. The most important thing is opening ice CLOSED sea routes for the OIL tankers to Navigate through. Such impressive ICE ships.
Forgive my poor English .I liked this (program) so much , it's well designed and full with beautiful and (enriching ) informations or should I say knowledgment, I'll keep watching it.
When the author says that they were built in Finland, he is a little cunning. The USSR ordered only hulls in Finland. These are hulls without engines and deck superstructures. So it would be correct to say that they were built in the USSR, since the place of production is determined by the place of final assembly. For example, Boeing and Airbus aircraft have many titanium parts made in Russia, but no one says that these aircraft were built in Russia.
