Massive respect to all Combat Controllers. Some of the longest training in the military and have to train in combat well enough to be attached to tier 2 and tier 1 teams so they are hardcore and smart as hell. An amazing but relatively unknown group to majority of the public

Here in the UK all of our motorways (freeways) are designed to be able to act as temporary runways for both UK and US aircraft, with the motorway bridges specifically designed to act as bomb proof temporary aircraft hangars. This being so that in the event of a suspected Soviet attack the fighters and bombers and close support aircraft could be split up and not just left at airbases which would have been the amongst the first targets of any Soviet 1st strike attack.

They are training for the reasons why they need to. A helicopter lands just about anywhere a plane doesn't, so my total inexperienced opinion and let's use what we can use to refuel and restart. Well done because it is very difficult.

This is a much needed experience for new flier's and I think working with close constitution workers Of Americans to aid in landing's and fast setup services to be like first responders in a event at a moments notice. I think this will up the threat if their is a invaded attack.
