My late uncle used his forks on the front-end loader to dig into the ground and pop tree and roots out. I remember seeing them fly 100 yards. Ah the good old days....
It's impressive that this only shows the monstrous amount of torque that these vehicles have. They're pure mechanical beasts.
Always leave three or four feet of the trunk before you pull. You'll have a lot more leverage and it will come down in one fell swoop
Why do you need to take them out at all? I remember as a child I watched my father in the backyard also pulling out trees on a truck crane (his car was a ZIL) and a friend pulled him in a KAMAZ truck, tying him with chains
Wrap whatever you're pulling with a chain then hook a strap to the chain. Straps hurt, chains kill.
What i don't understand,why would you pulling a stump instead of pulling the whole tree down first and than cut it up?
