The first Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG was designed in 1946, shortly after the Second World War. It is designed as a simple and efficient all-in-one machine with the 4x4. Its design has proven to be extremely successful. This heavy truck is built for military and civilian use. For over 70 years the basic design of this vehicle has remained unchanged. The UNIMOG range has been expanded to include a family of 4x4 utility trucks with off-road loads between 1,250 and 7,500 kg. UNIMOGS is exported around the world and is produced under license in many countries. These military trucks are used by at least 30 countries. Many models have been released over the years and the body style has changed considerably, but all versions are durable and efficient cars with excellent off-road performance. These trucks are for troop transporter, ambulance, equipment trucks, command vehicles and many other special roles. All UNIMOGS are equipped with diesel engines. These trucks can operate off-road, in deep water, mud or snow. A central tire inflation system is offered as an option.
