Kind of explains how the Abrams MBTs will get moved across Europe reasonably quickly and efficiently, along with the Bradleys and anything else in the heavy armoured vehicle category, including Leopard 2s. As US Generals keep saying logistics wins wars and the USA certainly does logistics very well.
Ex British soldier here. Seeing the sheer size and capabilities of the US military logistics machine is a sight to behold. Nobody does logistics like the US can and as it's the single most important task of any military it is exactly why in most cases the US would prevail. Providing you can keep the gobshite politicians out of the way and quiet. Once they get involved everybody gets fucked no matter how effective the logistics.
The Brotherhood of War (9 book series) by W.E.B. Griffin has a complete story about moving tanks around in trucks. It was a major logistical problem.
Interesting. Interesting indeed… Expensive as heck as a means of logistics (as opposed to just sending them in on rail), but boy does this ever provide more options (as well as survivability)!! Also, like another commenter stated, I too think that more then 31 Abrahms will be heading to Ukraine…
