Tow Starting 1952 Caterpillar D8-2U with a 1963 Caterpillar D8H-22A. The 2U had not been started in over 2 years so took a couple of attempts to get the oil around and ready to fire.
Com: Ky : START YOU SOB!! NICE JOB sounds beautiful I used to work on V24 marine CATS big an bad! Time to get the blade on an do some DOZIN!! C'MON!!!
Com: Monoel: Tractor just like beloved and longing father, miss them both, D8 and my father. Trator igual ao do meu querido e saudoso pai, tenho saudades dos dois, do D 8 e de meu pai. maneco ou maneka, Porto Alegre-RS -Brasil.
Com:Willian: love it! Thank god for people who keep these things running. Sounds partly like a steam locomotive, and partly like a jet fighter when it fires up! And of course, I have to add that a "bulldozer" is technically just the blade attachment. The rest is actually a "caterpillar tractor". Just like how a "backhoe" actually refers to an attachment that fits to the back of a tractor. Anyway, point is, you can't call a bulldozer without a blade a "bulldozer", technically. Not that that will stop me!
