People here are saying that they don’t do this with passengers on board but one time I was on a flight and the takeoff was like this.

My ears started to hurt really badly and I was so scared and hanging on for dear life because I didn’t experience anything like that before.

I think that although it isn’t a usual thing, some pilots do take off vertically.

1. theese are done in tests, no reason to name them horrible... more like amazing 2. they aren't vertical takeoffs, a vertical takeoff is when you take off like a helicopter, some fighter jets do that.
