It was nice to see some of the tank restoration. There should be a little more like this on the channel to help us remember the countless people who served during these slightly older wars and the hardships they faced. A great turnout
The "shark teeth" on the front are not shark teeth, but wild boar teeth. The aircraft's name is A-10 Warthog. Both the Galaxy and A-10 are very impressive. It is mind-boggling to read that the US produced 50,000 Sherman tanks between 1942 and 1945. During the war, the United States produced 10,000 tons of ships, the 760 Liberty, which were commanded by merchant marines. That's 360 of them, not counting countless other items like the destroyers deployed... Production in a different size!!
In fact, wheel chocks are used because the airplane is parked with the brakes off because landings heat the brakes to the point where they can hold and cannot be released. Also, when the engines are off, hydraulic pressure can be dissipated and the brakes are hydraulically actuated.
If you think about it, it's a flying shell. The new engines aren't as exciting as the old TF-39s, damn it... Inept civilian loading has resulted in the disappearance of a 747 cargo plane in Afghanistan. It worked to support the A-10 in the 1980s and still flies!
Sitting next to a runway while an F4 lands and prepares for takeoff. In the back vertical, there were two stars from the cartoons and an anteater. A few minutes later, a few APs appear and give us a free ride to our barracks. Always back on the track, I never saw the anteater again.
