I actually flew by this airplane as a young Naval Aviator. One of my fondest memories. I am now 85 years young

For those of you who never got the chance to ride in 1of these beauties, besides an unusually smoothe flight, they gave such a wonderful view of the scenery below, when it was clear weather. It was like flying over a well crafted patchwork quilt, but you could generally still see the cars and trains moving about too, something almost never seen from the jets.

One of the most -- if not THE most -- beautiful aircraft ever designed and manufactured. Fell in love with these as a kid when they were everywhere. Wow. That lift off was quick and a thing of beauty. Effortless. Thanks for posting!

I used to watch these many years ago as a kid. taking off and landing at Manchester Airport, UK. This is still an exceptionally impressive and beautiful piece of flying machinery, awesome to hear and stunning to looking at.

There were and still are many beautiful and elegant aircraft, but in my humble opinion, not one surpassed the legendary supersonic "Concórde", without a doubt, the most beautiful aeronautical project in history.
