Wobble drive sickle bar lawn mower has four patent dates cast in it. Nov.9.1895, Aug.30 1899,
June.19.1900, Aug.13.1900. The wheels have "Clipper Lawn Mower" cast into them. It is not 100% original.
There are four bolts that have been replaced along with two steel balls and the dog in the slip drive mechanism.
I have searched www.uspo.gov but have not found these patents. I would like to know more about it....
Com: Cartmann: can you show it actually cutting or is just a show and display item now?
it's over 100 years old so I understand not putting it in a situation where it can break.
Com: General power : Thank you for posting this video. In my opinion, this machine design needs only one slight improvement. Instead of a single Wobble drive located at the middle,
it should have two wobble drives (in sync) located a few inches from each other. I think that you should consider building copies of this for sale.
As a matter of fact some of the metal parts can be replaced by wood and plastic.
I know that it will work great and will be quieter than the noisy power tools that do the same job today.
You can count me in as a partner in any duplication effort.
