After working in aviation for 13 years and the strict use of calibrated tools and maintenance manuals and rule and regulations these videos makes my butthole pucker.....but they still do a better job than most of the half-assed mechanics i see working on cars in san antonio tx
I'm a retired auto mechanic and have build more than a few engines over the years and guess I done it wrong since I always used assembly lube on the bearings and torque things down
I was waiting for them to put it on the car and start it. It was very interesting to watch how the yoke and cylinder head stretch without a torque wrench and the sleeves were placed by hand. Or is there a person to such a degree strong)))) and to such an extent he can feel the metal that the dynamo key is unnecessary)
So, WHEN do they break out the torque wrench for the main caps, gears in the gear drive and rod bolts? This is the epitome of a “down and dirty” overhaul.
You guys are so special: You hammer into place almost everything and use cloth to clean the inside of an engine like you clean a kitchen worktop.
