I lived in the west of Ireland in a place called CLARE ISLAND.
The manager of the salmon farm had a converted tugboat to feed the fish. It took three days to ship through Fleet Forest in England, where his wife came from. Manager Humphrey got us off the island the day we left.
The sea in Clew Bay was really scary, the sea was very choppy. But the 40-foot tug took it in stride, even though the swells were about 20 feet due to the shallow ocean we were sailing from.
You forgot to mention that most tugs are equipped to fight fires on ships and on docks.
Why are they perfect? Fine, let's see. We tried fishing boats, speedboats, sailboats, rowing boats, and you know, this tugboat was the right way.
A question for you... Huge cruise ships with azipods, do they still need tugboats to dock at ports...??? thanks
You did it again, you start with one subject and jump to another, you have to start with Tugs and end with Tugs, I'm not happy with that at all. CA
