I live just 15 minutes from Trout River Industrys. Great company. They are proud that they have shipped trailers from Pei to places around the world, like South America.
When I had a job spreading fertilizer like that I would have shovelled the top to get as much as I could in each load, at the end of the field it might add up to one less fill.
Again very interesting equipment except the Safety Hitch system which seems totally pointless, less manoeuvrable and takes the weight off the rear axle of the towing vehicle.
Safety Towing System allows better handling of the trailer? When the demo has truck, dolly and trailer riding up onto the grass side making a turn that can easily be made without the system? Hyva looks like a useful setup, when not used at a port facility. There the union contract is only the Longshoremen / Warehouse-men can unload anything. The ILWU charter could shut down anyone but a member unloading anywhere if they truly wanted to enforce it.
My 1st thought with the Hyva truck mounted fork has NO STABILISERS which would make it unstable on uneven ground & illegal in a few countries.
The safety hitch system I don't see the point of. Just makes the entire thing longer & you have to corner wider.
The rear lift live bottom trailer has the potential to shift the load from back to front then you have to use more energy to empty the load, some of which will just keep rolling back to the lowest point like apples or potatoes. Again why bother when a normal live bottom trailer will do the same job using less energy & less chance of load shift causing safety issues. The only advantage is it can lift higher.
the mobile wash bay is just an extension of the hook lift bins but at least it could be useful.
Trucks & Trailers with Multi turning axles is nothing new. They have been around for years especially for very heavy or large loads.
