Comments: - - Dude, with a saw like this you need some sawing and decent cut resistant boots. Former professional recorder in New Zealand, for what it's worth… I loved my MS 660. Be safe man!
When you tighten your chain, raise the saw to the upright position and raise or support the end of the bar, then tighten until you see 2-3 drives when you pull the chain.
Watching a video made here in the states in Virginia Beach, they test each engine, which explains the discoloration in the muffler.
You might need a new chain guy because you look like you're messed up and I agree with getting your hands on some safety gear other than gloves, I get it, you want to play with your new toy but the thing might take your leg off. Also consider installing a simple and easy-to-use log or a log roller to keep the chain from getting dirty. Stay safe man!
Yes, I'm sure it was…the local water main is 24” underground…I would have been disappointed if you hadn't buried it in the ground after such exemplary sawing skills..
Using an 881, 3/8 chain is an absolute beast. But it can also use a larger sprocket to handle a 404 chain and any bar larger than 48 inches.
