The only reason he's going so slow is because a Kress is notorious for throwing up a mud mist that covers everything, including the windshield! Plus, when fireclay starts to dry out it's slicker than ice!
The reason for his speed is the previous video we posted. The Link Belt 3900 is working about a half a mile up the road from where he is at this point. He has to slow down for the smaller traffic on the haul road and the tight curve up ahead. We have another video of him getting past the LB and walkin on er.
yeah for safey incase if they run in to each other the cab is on the out side where more likely not to impact or something like that.
these are alot better for coal because of the way the crusher feeds work. just dump thru the belly and off ya go. we are building one atm for goonside mine atm using a 793c. she was a dunger but will buff up alright
These move about 220T of coal. They are a more efficient way to move coal than rear dumps, however they cannot carry dirt. This truck was a 785 (I think) which as a rear dump can carry 145T or as a belly dumper can carry 220T.
There is a big strike on at the moment, at last count i saw 6 of these parked up in a row, a rare sight indeed.
