A treat for all of you John Deere fans.
This machine was created by a North Dakota farmer who combined 3 JD 830 tractors into one machine.
Construction took place over 3 winters at his shop. The tractor as modified was used on his farm for a number of years.
The tractor is show here taking part in the parade of tractors at the Hawk Museum in rural Rolette County, ND.
In the mid-1930s, following the introduction of several new models of tractors and
implements, it became clear to Deere &
Company that a formal, structured, widespread method of product service training
was necessary to introduce the proper tools and methods to dealers and their service
employees. Large classes were held at John Deere Branch Houses, usually concentrated during the off-season to avoid disruption during busy periods at dealerships which helped to assure good attendance.
