In this video I show you how to make powerful rocket out of 200 L / 55 gallon barrel.
We used сalcium carbide and water.
The reaction of calcium carbide with water, producing acetylene and calcium hydroxide CaC2 + 2 H2O → C2H2 + Ca(OH)2.
Acetylene is very flammable gas.
Even a small spark is enough to set it on fire.
