This is an excellent explanation. When I was younger, before the Tube of You, I couldn't rap my head around how transmissions actually worked. I understood the concept of gearing and the torque to speed tradeoff. But the actual parts and how it all worked inside the case baffled my brain. I love the cutaway of an actual gearbox. This video would've saved my mechanic Oldman a lot of frustration trying to explain this to young me.

wow this is one of the best visualization ever and extremely informative. However, I couldn't unfortunately hear the narrator as the music was too loud and extremely annoying.
