Com: James : That's what I'm talking about!!!! I have a small stream I want to build a hydro generator. I have low flow and no head. So I plan to dig a holding pond. About 20' x 4-5' deep. I still will not have alot of head. I was thinking about building a water wheel. To build a high tq. wheel to spin a similar generator. Or a pma or just a alternator. I was thinking if the wheel was wide and tall. And held alot of water. It would make big tq. Then over drive it to spin generator. With about 500-750 rpm from about 5 or so at water wheel. Do you think this would work for my situation??? I'm off grid and need the power. Even if it's just 3-400 watts. I also need a charge controller that can take the higher random voltage and convert it to about 30v to charge lithium batteries. I'm slowly transitioning into lithium . the lead acid would be alot easier to charge. I would love to see more about this setup. It is a rough looking well working system. Looks just like something I'd build. Only better! Please show more! Of this and/or some like it. Thanks
