An average logging operation in NorthWestern Ontario. From Cutting the tree down to loading it on the truck.
Comments... An excellent and well made video very different to how its done in the UK, it was good to see the whole system right up to loading on the timber wagon.
Is that realy the smartest way of logging? It seams soo old fashioned if i compare too howe we do it in sweden
Great video and amazingly precise and fast machines. Can you imagine just how long this would take and how many potential accidence would happen doing this the old fashioned way?
They use feller bunchers a lot in Maine, from like the Orono area up, I saw some this summer in class
I used to run one of theses and run skidder no man with a chainsaw can cut this fast.
short logs yeah....long logs you skip the slasher part and top the trees at around 6inch and keep the full lenth.
I use to work for a mob in the bush here in Australia logging so to all the tree hugging so and so out there go and jump or go and do a day in the bush and see what we go through
