Some would argue it is because of mans effect on global warming blah blah blah but some argue the earth goes in cycles and we have no effect as to why we have mild winters. And how come we still get minus 40 celcius in winter explain that one.
Anyways the only live trees here not affectes by pinekill are spruce and fir.
We clearcut log but leave the really nice fir standing and then haul pulp to make pellets for wood heat and then often chip the brush piles also for pellets and shavings for animals. And then tree planters replant a healthy forest.
So for the treehuggers out there go and tree hug all you want but if you live in a house made from 2x4's then shove
