Landini SpA is an Italian agricultural machinery manufacturer. The company designs and manufactures tractors . The company was founded in 1884 in Fabbrico, Italy by Giovanni Landini. Landini had just started making tractors when Giovanni died in 1925 while preventing completion of the first prototype tractor. Giovanni Landini's sons took over the business and saw the tractor project complete.

In 1925 the sons built the first authentic Italian tractor, a 30 hp machine. It was a success and preceded the viable Landini 40 and 50 hp models that emerged in the mid-1930s and would become famous under the names Velite, Buffalo and Super. The first production tractors were powered by a 40 hp semi-diesel engine, a two-stroke single-cylinder unit. The company continued to produce tractors with semi-diesel engines until 1957. Production stopped when the Second World War began.

In 1959 the first Landini crawler tractor C35 was produced and the company was bought 100% by Massey Ferguson. In 1973, Landini introduced the 500 Series 2- and 4-wheel tractors. 1980 saw the company specialize as well as diversify its products. Also in 1980 Landini started working on a vineyard tractor. In 1986, the new vineyard tractor was launched. In 1988, the company launched the 60, 70, 80 Series, a redesigned series of tractors.
