By chance I saw this video, but how nostalgic!
I remember that in my city, Antofagasta (Chile) it was quite an event to see them pass by an avenue near my house.
They disembarked at the port and crossed the entire center of the city, passing through the avenue and then heading to the city of Calama, where the copper mining company, Chuquicamata, is located.
People came out to watch them go by. They were giants!!
My grandfather used to drive these in a copper mine in AZ. Now I get to rebuild the 3500 and 3600 series cat engines that power these, plus, trains, ships, off shore platforms, generators, etc here in Houston. Never thought I would be doing this kind of work, but I absolutely love it.
Those trucks produce fear and fascination, they are huge that even a tractor can be easily crushed with one of its wheels XD
What's the car with the arrow sign on the roof for? Is it to warn drivers that their is a mountain of truck in front of them incase they don't see it?
You being the driver of this giant when your boss tells you that before finishing your shift you have to leave it completely washed!
