Cutting a trail with my 1948 Cletrac HG42 crawler. Thanks, Jack for all the help and for the camera work!
Comments: - Can anyone help me with a starting problem? I recently bought this tractor and it starts and runs great until I stall it under load then it won't start again. It seems like it might be flooding it's self but not sure. I shut off the fuel when this happens but it still takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours before it will sputter to life again then it runs great until I stall it again. And please don't say, "don't stall it" Carb is good and clean and has a new carb kit and the engine was rebuilt recently so it's good. I need it to help my son level lots of pit run for a new double wide home that is ready to move on the lot. So I'm desparate!! Any advice would be welcome. thanks
Comments: First and foremost, I'm an enthusiast. It all started with an Oliver 550 farm tractor that I purchased at a local lumber yard auction.
As I learned more and more , I realised that I had lucked-out in having stumbled on an Oliver.
Next came a White 2-44 loader/backhoe (just an Industrial 550 really), then an estate sale Super 55 from up the road.
Then, on a trip to pick-up a used landscape trailer in Ohio, I was persuaded to also buy the OC-3 crawler loader sitting inside it! The seller was moving to Arizona and the price was such that I simply could not refuse.
