Com: zibyzuby : Terrifying, I have never been in one & wouldn't go voluntarily ..
I've even been airlifted in a medical transport plane but somehow if it was a chopper I think I would have regained consciousness only to die of fright.
My huge blessings to those who provide medical transport, rescues & even traffic reports..

I guess I am particular about how the words crash landing are used. I expected fairly upright helicopters with severely damaged landing gear. A lot of these video clips are just fatal helicopter crashes.
There are manufacturer test videos that show overloads of helicopter landing gear during simulated excessive descent rate landings. You see landing skid support structures bent beyond the permanent deformation point. You see wheel landing gear support structure driven up into the fuselage.
The helicopter remains fairly upright allowing both port and starboard hatches or doors to be used for exit. In real life it is an extremely difficult task to crash in such a manner, but it is really the only type of crash that might reasonably be considered a "landing".
In fixed wing aviation a similar definition seems to exist. You see aircraft land with excessive descent rates in which landing gear is broken off or severely bent but the fuselage remains fairly upright allowing both port and starboard exits to be used, if there is no fire near one of those exits. Anything else is just a crash.
