Com: Jonathan : I'm certainly no tree hugging, leftist nut; I'm a conservative about most things, but I have to admit it was painful to see some of those largest circumference trees that were definitely hundreds of years old to be cut up and destroyed. Living giants that had seen so much history; large before America was even founded. As, supposedly, wise stewards we should do everything we reasonably can not to cut some of these behemoths down and build around them. Many of our works are obsolete in decades while those largest trees have thrived for hundreds of years and once cut down can never be replaced; it should give us pause to do such things.

Thats a macro carpa tree and not only they hard wood but can contain a lot of shakes which make them unpredictable when cutting them down. They make zing floor boards out of the timber. As for the japanese guys, and the 2nd lot falling a tree without a scarf cut, that will get them killed one day.
