I know I heard "Number 8" twice. These AI narrations have taken on a mind of their own... and getting it wrong. lol. jk but for real number 7 was correct on screen but audio says Number 8. and the next few ships are then off by 1 numeral (audio only)
Worked at Smith's dock Southbank in the 70s. loved launch day ,the speed a ship went, replaced by a gust of wind and rush of water and noise of drag chains. As an apprentice and tradesman, seen Manchester and clipper boats launched. Worked amongst legends . Moulded me with humour and character.Bless them all.
Cool to watch but its crazy to consider that launching these massive ships is still so technologically primitive
I like all the spectators. They've done this enough to know almost exactly where the water line is going to be so they don't get wet.
Impressive ! I would have liked to see the launch of the yacht transported by truck, this short extract deprives us of the most interesting part.
I like these vids. No click bait, no bad jokes and long introductions and stories I don't care to hear before the clips. Subscribed
Thank you! for this excellent video. I used to live in a port city and loved to go down and see the ships. Once I got to go onboard and be shown around. It was great. This was a lot of work and I appreciate it.
It’s amaZing how they calculated the water from the huge ship to land at the feet of the spectators like a little puddle
