This is my b6000 compact tractor cutting sod for the new garden area. The plow is I believe a 16 inch or possibly 18. And yes the coulter has been lowered since filming this.....
Garden: Ploughing basically breaks up compacted soil and exposes roots to the sun killing them. At the time of this video, I did not own a tiller so I used a disk harrow to break up the clods. I have another video showing that. I now have a tiller that I use which works awesome! I live in Maine and we are about 50 years behind the rest of the country income wise.
Tractors: Do you think a 400 hp car could pull that disc and chisel plow? I've always learned that pulling power comes from torque, not horsepower. I can use a disc and chisel plow all day long on my TC 33d. I'm sure I can't use one as large as you are pulling, but that's because I don't have enough torque. I agree about groundspeed but if you had 0 torque and 1000 horsepower, you couldn't pull those large plows 10 feet could you?
