Com : Ann : Great to use for skidding out saw logs you don't what full of mud. Cutting into dirt, gravel and stuff will dull a chain real fast, and mud is not desired when cut into boards. Also is nice that one person can operate it.
Com: Richard: Add a hook to the frame down low to capture the winch hook and save some time from winding in and out.
Com: Jason: thats a pretty cool rig, just i would no patience for it, 3 hours later you got 1 tree moved, id go buy a small tractor with a winch if i were gonna do all that
Com : Fred: I could have drug that log all the way home with my tractor in the time it took to hook that thing up.... its also not going to turn, so you need a perfectly straight road to haul them out of the brush.... the 10 thousand dollar quad also pisses me off
Com: Emm : While just dragging logs is quicker. I can imagine if you dont want to tear up your trail by constantly dragging trees this could be a good solution. Also allows you to take it on a paved road without damaging the log. I guess it depends on what you need the log for and if you care about your trail or not.
