There are three sawmills at WMSTR. One is a "backyard" version common in small lumbering operations. Another is in Miniature Land. The other is this mill, which can crank out quite a bit of cut lumber in the course of a day. As was common in the early days of logging in this area, the sawmill was run by steam engines. Everything in the mill, from where the logs are pulled in to the conveyer that dumps out the sawdust, is powered by steam. Granted there are at least three engines running at any given time. The maze of pulleys, belts, shafts and what-not is quite a sight. So is watching the operators zipping back and forth on the trolley.
