The special construction of the splitting device enables the splitting of tree trunks regardless of length and diameter.
The splitting wedge is driven by the oil piston from the lateral surface into the trunk, while the opposing force is absorbed by the penetrating into the end face of the trunk transverse cutting edge.
With fibrous wood and with long trunks, the device can be attached transversely (see picture on the left).
This allows the gap to be widened as often as desired to a width of 220 mm.
The use of the portable device makes the splitting of pulpwood much easier and faster.
The more difficult it is to split crowns or stem sections, the more economical the use of the device.
The pieces to be split are laid in their respective position on the ground one or more times as needed.
To attach the splitting device to the farm tractor or Unimog, two hydraulic connections are required on the tractor side.
It must be ensured that one connection is depressurised (return).
About the attached on the cylinder-side handle control valve can be the forward and return stroke of the splitter control.
To protect all components, a pressure relief valve is installed in the hose connection at the factory, which limits the oil pressure to 150 bar.
The 10-meter-long hose connection between the tractor and the splitting device allows sufficient freedom of movement for the operator.
